Capas National Shrine

Before going down(Manila), we visited a landmark in Barangay Navy Capas, Tarlac. Capas National Shrine was built by our government as memorial to the Filipino and American fighters who died in Camp O’Donnell at the end of the Bataan Death March.

The shrine
- 54 hectares(parkland)
- 35 hectares(rows of planted trees—represent each of the deceased)
The obelisk
- 70-meter high(above the grounds)
- blockaded by a black marmoreal wall(the names of Filipinos and Americans who died were carved here)
I’m glad I joined the climb for a cause. I definitely learned a lot! Mooore!!!
