A pencil is just a small tool. But like all tools, it can be very powerful. Do you know what a pencil can really do?
In the hands of artists, our minds are exposed to beauty.
In hands of inventors, our lives have been improved.
In the hands of writers, our souls are lifted to greater heights. Now, can you imagine if we give a child a pencil and see what he can do?
The HWH Pencil Project is a digital signature campaign through the combined efforts ofDynamic Teen Company (DTC) and Hotelwithheart.com (HWH). The aim of this campaign is to raise 10,000 pencils to support DTC’s “Kariton Klasrum Project”. Through this endeavor, children in the slum areas will get a decent supply of pencils to help them learn the basics of writing, reading and arithmetic.
How can I help?
All Facebook account holders can take part in this campaign by simply filling-up the sign up form below. HotelwithHeart.com will donate one pencil to DTC’s “Kariton Klasrum Project” for every digital signature collected. One successful digital signature is equivalent to one pencil and one happy child.
Support this project by telling your friends to sign up so we can give more pencils and make more children happy.

About Dynamic Teen Company:
Dynamic Teen Company (DTC) is a group of concerned young people with a mission of making a small yet significant difference in other people’s lives, particularly the small children in slum areas who have no access to education, basic hygiene and sometimes, even love from their families. The group was founded in the Philippines in August 1997 by four teenagers from Cavite National High School, one of whom was Efren Penaflorida, 2009 CNN Hero of the Year.
Facebook is a powerful tool for sharing status, pictures, and videos. With more than a 500 million members and counting, the potential for social interaction is great. Sharing for a cause has been gaining ground in social media for years. Â Hotelwithheart.com hopes that letting people participate in a simple yet symbolical campaign will help Facebook users contribute to the betterment of society.
I’m sure hindi mga VERSACE ATELIER ang ganap such as my fave pieces (hanggang panaginip lang toh, ginto ata ang halaga. haha! Didn’t even bother asking)
Ang chika AS REPORTED BY NYMAG:
She told the crowd at the New York Times’ TimesTalk series yesterday that though she’s been asked to do a lower-priced line, she refused. “I respect everyone who does it,” she said. “But the reason I didn’t do it is because I work very hard to put the Versace line in the luxury section. I think to put the Versace line in H&M would confuse the brand.”
So I think hindi ganun ka mura but I really do hope that she makes it “affordable” man lang. I can’t wait to see the collection for sure I will post it here.

Before going down(Manila), we visited a landmark in Barangay Navy Capas, Tarlac. Capas National Shrine was built by our government as memorial to the Filipino and American fighters who died in Camp O’Donnell at the end of the Bataan Death March.
“Some people are so busy that they forget about the amount of water that their body requires. Some are not just fond of drinking water but you know, there is always a more fun, healthier way to enjoying water,” Phil asserts, pertaining to Vitwater, which he describes as “excellent tasting” and an “extremely good power booster.”
Last June 7, Tuesday, I was invited to attend the VitWater newest member press release. And yes, it was Phil Younghusband! The Philippine National Football player welcomed as the new endorser of the RFM’s popular energy drink brand, VitPower(the variant Vitwater Power). The footballer, 23-year old Brit-Fil, impressed the company with his relentless spirit to win, his passion, and his zest for life. And as for Phil, he thanked VitPower for he made a lot of interesting things that he find very challenging that would test his energy to the extreme.
Thank you, VitWater, for yummy lunch that day. For the goodies, too! And thanks to Jonel for accompanying me. I was feeling twitchy actually… I was cornered by professional bloggers, writers, and bloody media. Me already! Chos. I met a lot of people and learned with their tips and experiences. Thank You, Lord! Lord… mooore… more opportunities! :D
Yup! That night, we experienced something to the fullest. We consumed a lot of chicken plus we took home some sweet delights from Max’s corner bakery… it was the cream of the crop! We really had fun! We are not only satisfied with the food, but also with the laughters! Thank you, Max’s! Til next time!
Max’s CHICKEN-ALL-YOU-CAN is back and ready to awaken our taste buds once again!
“Chicken All-You-Can is definitely here – and it’s bigger and better! So for those who missed Max’s Chicken-All-You-Can promo last year, this is their chance to avail of Max’s biggest treat. Celebrate with your friends, family and barkada and troop to your favourite Max’s Restaurant for the most exciting value-for-money promo from Max’s. Be sure not to miss it this year!”

Last night, June 7, I was invited to attend the Max’s Bloggers Night along with other foodaholics. It was an exclusive media briefing and launch of its biggest Nationwide promo for 2011. Let me give you a bit of history about the Filipino’s favourite home-cooked fried chicken…
Max’s, one of the country’s leading fast laid-back dining restaurant traces its roots to a family’s generosity and passion for good food. Max’s, “the house that chicken built,” continues to bring forward and spread out worldwide. After more than six decades, Max’s Restaurant has been time-honoured as a household name, an institution, and a proud Filipino norm, enthusiastically preserving the values passed on from its early beginnings in 1945 to today’s generation of food enthusiasts.
And now, the sarap-to-the-bones fried chicken is unlimitedly and served once again starting tomorrow June 10, Friday, for only P199 with chilled glass of any Pepsi soft drink (upgrade into a bottomless for P28 only). For a little entertainment, there’s a show-stopping promo performance by Max’s employees every 6:00pm daily to tip-off the start of the promo.
But wait! There’s another treat for us! In this promo, we can get a P20 money coupon for every P200 spent in Chicken All-You-Can promo. For three collected coupons may be used to pay for any Max’s goodies. We can use it as soon as the promotion has ended. So c’mon! Let’s go out tomorrow, the first day of the promo… bring your friends, partners, and of course your family!
Trivia: 14 pcs. of Max’s quarter chicken( 3 whole chicken and a half) is the Max’s Chicken-All-You-Can record-breaker.
Salamat!
